How to participate in Olevus in a way that builds something — for you and for the people around you.
Build Your Reputation
Treat your account as something you're building over time, not a place to perform for an algorithm. The articles you write, the conversations you join, and the recognitions you give are all part of your record here.
Contribute Thoughtfully
Before you post, ask whether what you're about to share adds something — information, a perspective, an honest question, a useful critique. Quiet contribution beats loud noise.
Respect Others
You can disagree without being cruel. Address the argument, not the person. Assume people are acting in good faith until they show otherwise.
Avoid Manipulation
Don't game reputation systems — no recognition trading, vote rings, sockpuppet accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior. Olevus is designed to detect this, and the consequences for accounts involved are serious.
Avoid Spam
Don't flood the platform with promotional content, repetitive posts, or links unrelated to the discussion. If you have something to share about your own work, share it where it's relevant and add real context.
Report Abuse Responsibly
If you encounter behavior that violates our Trust & Safety standards, report it. Use the in-product report controls, or write to trust@olevus.com. Don't use reports as a weapon against people you disagree with — false reports harm the community too.
A Final Note
These guidelines are short on purpose. The full picture is simple: behave like you'd want the people around you to behave, contribute things you'd be proud to have on your record years from now, and treat Olevus like a place that's worth keeping good.
