Privacy Policy
Olevus is built on trust. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.
Effective January 1, 2026
Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your username, email address, and any profile details you choose to provide, such as display name, biography, location, and avatar.
Content you submit
We store the articles, responses, recognitions, snaps, communities, and other contributions you make on Olevus. Your contributions form part of your reputation on the platform.
Analytics and usage information
We collect basic technical information about how Olevus is used — page views, session length, device type, approximate region, and aggregated interaction patterns — to keep the platform stable and improve it over time.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries that are required for sign-in, session continuity, and your interface preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
How Information Is Used
We use the information we collect to operate Olevus, authenticate accounts, display your contributions and reputation, prevent abuse, communicate important service updates, and improve the platform.
We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not share personal information with third parties for advertising.
Data Security
Olevus uses industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls, and row-level security on user data. Sensitive credentials are never stored in plaintext.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a material incident affecting your account, we will notify you and provide guidance on next steps.
Your Rights
You may access, update, or delete the personal information associated with your account at any time from your profile settings. You may request a complete export or deletion of your account by contacting us.
Where applicable law gives you additional rights — including rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA — we honor them regardless of where you live.
Future Monetization
Olevus may, in the future, introduce paid features, subscriptions, or contributor-direct monetization. If we do, the relevant billing information will be handled through a reputable payment provider and disclosed clearly. We will not introduce advertising that sells or shares your personal information with advertisers.
