1. Separate Monetization Programs
Olevus may offer multiple monetization programs with different economic, accounting, tax, refund, and payout structures.
| Program | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Support Economy - Coin Gifting and Direct Member Support | Voluntary member support using qualifying Olevus coins, with program-specific creator earnings. |
| Free Community Commerce | Transactions through free Olevus communities under a separate all-in fee and operator payout structure. |
| Premium Content | Paid articles, videos, courses, downloads, and other gated creator content. |
| Community Operator Commerce | Commerce offered by paid Community Operator accounts under operator-specific pricing and processing terms. |
| Olevus Commerce | Future marketplace and commerce functionality governed by separately published terms. |
| Additional Programs | Paid events, services, subscriptions, sponsorships, referrals, and other future monetization programs. |
Participation in one program does not automatically enroll you in another.
The revenue share, fees, payout timing, refund treatment, tax reporting, and eligibility rules for one program do not apply to another program unless the applicable schedule expressly says they do.
The 80% creator share established for qualifying coin support does not apply to product sales, paid communities, subscriptions, premium content, courses, events, services, or other marketplace transactions.
A program becomes available to you only after Olevus enables it for your account and you accept the applicable schedule.
2. Relationship to the Olevus Terms of Service
These Monetization Terms are incorporated into the Olevus Terms of Service.
The Olevus Terms of Service continue to govern:
• Account access and security
• Acceptable use
• Content standards
• Intellectual-property rights
• Enforcement
• Disclaimers
• Limitations of liability
• Indemnification
• Governing law
• Arbitration or other dispute-resolution procedures
• General platform use
These Monetization Terms control matters specifically concerning monetization, earnings, seller obligations, Stripe onboarding, fees, balances, and payouts.
3. Eligibility
To participate in an Olevus monetization program, you must:
1. Be at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal majority where you reside.
2. Maintain an active Olevus account in good standing.
3. Comply with the Olevus Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, these Monetization Terms, and the applicable program schedule.
4. Reside in or operate an eligible business entity within a supported jurisdiction.
5. Complete all identity, banking, business, tax, and payment verification required by Olevus or Stripe.
6. Maintain an eligible Stripe Connected Account where required.
7. Provide accurate and complete information.
8. Not be prohibited from receiving payments under applicable law, sanctions restrictions, banking rules, or Stripe requirements.
9. Satisfy any program-specific eligibility requirements.
Olevus may require additional documents or information to verify identity, ownership, tax status, authority, product rights, transaction legitimacy, or payout eligibility.
Completion of onboarding does not guarantee permanent participation. Eligibility may change because of account conduct, legal requirements, Stripe restrictions, risk reviews, or changes to a program.
4. Program Schedules
Each monetization program is governed by a separate schedule.
The schedules may establish:
• What activity generates earnings
• The applicable creator or seller share
• Olevus's fee
• Processing-cost treatment
• Minimum payout
• Hold period
• Refund and cancellation rules
• Chargeback allocation
• Tax-reporting treatment
• Product or service requirements
• Payout frequency
• Merchant, seller, or provider responsibilities
Only the schedule identified for a transaction governs that transaction.
A single member may participate in more than one program and may therefore maintain separate balances or transaction categories subject to different terms.
5. Stripe Connected Accounts
Olevus uses Stripe Connect to provide identity verification, payment processing, transfers, and payouts.
You may be required to create or connect a Stripe Connected Account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and other applicable Stripe terms.
You authorize Olevus to:
• Create or connect a Stripe account for you.
• Submit information to Stripe.
• Access information Stripe makes available to Olevus.
• Receive identity, tax, capability, bank-account, transaction, transfer, payout, balance, and risk information.
• Instruct Stripe to process transactions, transfers, reversals, and payouts.
• Deduct disclosed Olevus fees.
• Apply reserves, holds, or payout restrictions.
• Reverse or recover transfers where authorized.
• Update information you provide through Olevus.
• Perform other activity reasonably necessary to administer Olevus monetization programs.
You authorize Stripe to share connected-account and transaction data with Olevus as necessary to provide the applicable services.
Stripe is an independent payment-services provider. Olevus does not control Stripe's verification decisions, processing time, account restrictions, bank decisions, or service availability.
6. Seller and Provider Responsibility
When Olevus sells its own product or service, Olevus is responsible for that offering.
When a creator, community operator, or other member sells their own product or service, that person or entity is responsible for:
• The product or service
• Accurate descriptions
• Pricing
• Delivery and performance
• Customer support
• Required licenses and permissions
• Product safety and legality
• Intellectual-property ownership
• Refund and cancellation obligations
• Consumer disclosures
• Taxes for which the seller is responsible
• Compliance with applicable laws
Olevus may facilitate discovery, checkout, payment collection, tax calculation, delivery tools, or customer communications without becoming the creator or provider of the underlying product or service.
The payment-processing configuration may cause Olevus or Stripe to appear on a receipt, statement, or payment record. That appearance does not, by itself, transfer the seller's responsibility for the underlying product or service to Olevus.
The exact payment, settlement, and merchant structure for each program will be established by the applicable schedule and the payment architecture used for that transaction.
7. Earnings and Seller Proceeds
Amounts displayed on Olevus may include different balance categories, including:
• Earnings on hold
• Available earnings
• Reserved payouts
• Seller proceeds
• Refund reserves
• Disputed amounts
• Negative balances
• Tax withholding
• Promotional or noncash balances
A displayed balance does not necessarily mean the amount is immediately payable.
An amount becomes available for payout only when:
• The applicable earning or sale is valid
• The required hold has expired
• Payment settlement is complete
• Refund and dispute exposure has been addressed
• Tax and identity information is valid
• No restriction, reserve, offset, or investigation applies
• The applicable payout minimum is met
8. Fees
Olevus may charge:
• Platform fees
• Transaction fees
• Subscription fees
• Payout fees
• Processing costs
• Currency-conversion costs
• Optional-service fees
• Refund or dispute-related amounts
• Other clearly disclosed charges
The applicable fee depends on the program and is stated in the relevant schedule or checkout disclosure.
A gross all-in transaction fee is the seller's total transaction charge before the payment-processing component is separated internally. It should not be interpreted as Olevus's net revenue.
Fees will not be applied retroactively to completed transactions except to correct an error, respond to fraud or invalid activity, or comply with law.
9. Tax Information
You must provide accurate and complete tax information before receiving payouts.
Required information may include:
• Legal name
• Address
• Taxpayer identification number
• Federal tax classification
• Form W-9 certification
• Form W-8 documentation
• Exempt-payee status
• Tax residency
• Location where services are performed
• Other information required by law
Olevus may use Stripe or another provider to collect, validate, store, and report tax information.
Olevus may block or suspend payouts when tax information is missing, invalid, uncertified, or inconsistent.
10. Tax Reporting
Different Olevus programs may create different tax-reporting obligations.
For example:
• Olevus-calculated creator support earnings may be treated as nonemployee compensation.
• Marketplace proceeds from selling goods or services may be treated as payment-settlement transactions.
• Royalties, prizes, referrals, or other payments may require different reporting.
Olevus will determine the applicable information return based on the transaction structure, applicable law, and advice from its tax professionals.
Olevus or its filing provider may issue Forms 1099-NEC, 1099-K, 1099-MISC, 1042-S, or other required forms.
The amount reported may exceed the amount deposited into your bank because tax forms may report gross compensation or gross payment volume before fees, withholding, refunds, or other adjustments.
You remain responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes.
11. Backup and Other Withholding
Olevus may withhold taxes when required by law, including when:
• A taxpayer identification number is missing
• A name and taxpayer identification number do not match
• A required certification is missing
• The IRS or another authority directs withholding
• The recipient is subject to nonresident withholding
• State or local withholding applies
Withholding reduces the net payout but does not necessarily reduce gross reportable income.
12. Holds, Reserves, and Reviews
Olevus may establish holds, reserves, limits, or reviews based on:
• Settlement timing
• Refund exposure
• Chargebacks
• Account history
• Transaction volume
• Account age
• Unusual activity
• Fraud indicators
• Product or service risk
• Tax or identity issues
• Stripe requirements
• Legal obligations
• Negative balances
A hold or reserve may delay availability or payout without eliminating an otherwise valid balance.
13. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund and cancellation rules vary by program.
Where Olevus processes the customer payment, Olevus may issue or facilitate a refund when:
• Required by the applicable schedule
• Required by law
• Authorized by the seller
• A product or service was not delivered
• A transaction was unauthorized
• Olevus determines that a refund is reasonably necessary to protect the platform or customer
A refund may reduce seller proceeds or creator earnings and may create a negative balance if the related amount was already paid.
Original processing fees may not be returned by Stripe or another processor and may remain the responsibility of the party identified in the applicable schedule.
14. Disputes and Chargebacks
When a customer disputes a payment, Olevus may:
• Freeze the related proceeds
• Deduct the disputed amount
• Reverse a connected-account transfer
• Require evidence from the seller
• Respond to the dispute
• Charge or allocate applicable dispute costs
• Establish or increase a reserve
• Offset future earnings
• Suspend selling or payout privileges
The person responsible for the underlying product or service must reasonably assist Olevus in responding to disputes.
The applicable program schedule determines how losses and fees are allocated between Olevus and the seller.
15. Negative Balances and Recovery
A negative balance may result from:
• Refunds
• Chargebacks
• Reversals
• Duplicate payments
• Errors
• Withholding
• Dispute fees
• Fraud
• Invalid transactions
• Amounts previously paid but later determined not to be owed
Olevus may recover a negative balance by:
• Offsetting future earnings or proceeds
• Reversing an available transfer
• Debiting an authorized payment method where permitted
• Requesting repayment
• Applying reserves
• Suspending payouts
• Using other lawful recovery methods
16. Payout Requests and Execution
A payout request may be submitted only when:
• The applicable minimum has been met
• The amount is available
• Stripe onboarding is complete
• Transfer and payout capabilities are active
• Tax information is valid
• No hold, reserve, offset, or investigation prevents payment
• Olevus has sufficient available settlement funds
Submitting a payout request does not guarantee immediate payment.
Payout timing may depend on Olevus review, Stripe settlement, banking systems, weekends, holidays, identity checks, legal requirements, or risk controls.
Olevus may reject, pause, or return a payout request when a requirement is not satisfied.
17. Fraud and Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
• Manufacture artificial earnings or sales
• Coordinate sham or reciprocal transactions
• Use controlled accounts to evade limits
• Purchase from yourself to generate false revenue
• Use stolen or unauthorized payment methods
• Manipulate refunds, disputes, or chargebacks
• Misrepresent products, identity, tax status, or transaction purpose
• Circumvent holds, limits, tax verification, or payout controls
• Launder funds
• Sell illegal, infringing, deceptive, or prohibited products
• Use Olevus monetization for activity inconsistent with the purpose of the applicable program
Olevus may freeze, reverse, deny, recover, or offset amounts connected to prohibited conduct.
Founder, employee, developer, administrative, and system-test transactions may be excluded from revenue, creator earnings, tax-reporting totals, and public metrics.
18. Products, Services, and Intellectual Property
A seller represents and warrants that:
• The seller owns or has all rights necessary to sell the product or service
• The listing is accurate and not misleading
• The offering does not infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
• The seller will perform all promised obligations
• The offering complies with applicable law
• Required disclosures are provided
• The seller has authority to enter into the transaction
Olevus may remove, block, or refund an offering that violates these requirements.
19. Records and Corrections
Olevus may maintain records relating to:
• Purchases
• Coins
• Gifts
• Earnings
• Sales
• Fees
• Refunds
• Disputes
• Reserves
• Transfers
• Payouts
• Tax reporting
• Corrections
Olevus may correct errors in balances, fees, eligibility, earnings, proceeds, refunds, tax records, and payouts.
Corrections may increase or decrease a displayed balance.
Olevus's transaction and accounting records govern absent demonstrated error.
20. Dormant and Unclaimed Amounts
Valid unpaid creator earnings and seller proceeds do not become Olevus revenue merely because the recipient does not request a payout.
Olevus may attempt to contact a recipient regarding dormant amounts.
Amounts may be transferred to a governmental authority when required by unclaimed-property law.
Olevus may require renewed verification before releasing a dormant balance.
21. Suspension and Termination
Olevus may suspend or terminate monetization access when a participant:
• Violates applicable terms
• Engages in fraud or abuse
• Fails verification
• Creates unacceptable financial or legal risk
• Has a restricted Stripe account
• Fails to resolve a negative balance
• Offers prohibited products or services
• Fails to respond to customer or dispute obligations
• Is no longer eligible
Termination does not automatically eliminate valid amounts already earned, but those amounts remain subject to refunds, disputes, offsets, withholding, investigations, reserves, and legal restrictions.
22. Independent Relationship
Participation does not create employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, fiduciary, or agency status.
Creators and sellers independently determine what they create or sell, subject to Olevus rules.
They are responsible for their own expenses, insurance, permits, taxes, licenses, and business obligations.
23. Changes to Programs and Economic Terms
Olevus may prospectively change:
• Revenue shares
• Transaction fees
• Processing-cost treatment
• Subscription prices
• Payout fees
• Minimum payouts
• Hold periods
• Supported jurisdictions
• Eligibility standards
• Program availability
Olevus will provide notice of material changes through the platform, email, or updated terms.
Unless required to correct fraud, error, invalid activity, or legal noncompliance, changes to economic terms apply prospectively.
24. Privacy and Data Use
Olevus may collect and process information necessary to operate monetization programs, including:
• Identity information
• Contact information
• Tax information
• Bank information
• Connected-account data
• Transaction records
• Product and customer records
• Risk and fraud information
• Compliance records
Olevus may share information with Stripe, banks, tax authorities, regulators, service providers, advisers, and law-enforcement authorities as permitted by law and the Privacy Policy.
25. Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising from these Monetization Terms or a program schedule are governed by the dispute-resolution provisions of the existing Olevus Terms of Service.
Those provisions are incorporated by reference.
26. Notices
Olevus may provide notice through:
• The Olevus platform
• The creator or seller dashboard
• Stripe-hosted interfaces
• Updated terms
• Any method permitted by the Olevus Terms of Service
You are responsible for maintaining current contact information.
27. Entire Agreement
These Monetization Terms, the Olevus Terms of Service, applicable program schedules, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Coin Purchase Terms, and Stripe agreements form the agreement governing Olevus monetization.
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
